Five Things Friday: Vol. 2

Happy Friday, Friends! I'm sharing five things I'm loving right now, and I think you will, too!

  1. Crockpot Applesauce. Are you looking for something easy and yummy to make with all those red beauties you gathered at the apple orchard?

    Ingredients:
    *10-12 medium-sized apples to a slow cooker. (Core the apples and cut them into chunks. You can peel the apples if you want to, but you don't have to!)
    * 1 cup water
    * 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
    * 1/2 cup sugar or 4 teaspoons of THM Super Sweet Blend

    Process:
    * Add apples, cinnamon, and water to the crockpot. If using sugar, add that as well.
    * Cook on High for 4-5 hours or Low for 8-10 hours.
    * When cooked, puree with an immersion blender.
    * If using THM Super Sweet, stir in at this time.

    The applesauce is delicious, especially served warm.
  2. Pumpkin Spice Lattes. But wait! Didn't I write an entire post about how I don't like PSLs? With the aid of a very helpful Starbucks barista, I figured out that I actually do like Pumpkin Spice Lattes, as long as they only contain 1/2 the normal amounts of "pumps." If you love pumpkin and pumpkin spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves), but PSLs taste gross to you, give the "1/2-the-pumps" trick a try!
  3. Indescribable: 100 Devotionals for Kids About God and Science. I was looking for a new devotional to use during our morning Group Time, and my mom friends suggested this one. Not only is the content incredibly interesting, but the devotionals themselves are so on-point. This one is GOOD, mamas.
  4. The cutest dishes. I've been wanting to switch our dishware up to simple white dishes for ages, but look what I found while I was hunting! This set is such a dupe for Kate Spade dishes. And they would be perfection with this set of cutlery. I'm really doubting how much I want simple white dishes after all...
  5. "In the Blood" by John Mayer. I adore this song and listen to it over and over. "What about this feeling that I'm never good enough? Will it wash out in the water, or is it always in the blood?" It speaks to my soul. Good news, John (and me)! Jesus can and has washed it away!
